LAHORE (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 04th March, 2019) An accountability court has extended the judicial remand of Khawaja Saad Rafique and Khawaja Salman Rafique till March 19.The PML-N leaders have been arrested over the alleged involvement in the Paragon Housing scandal.They appeared in the court of Accountability Judge Saeed Najamul Hassan on Monday. They were brought to the court in an armoured vehicle. Their lawyer told the court that the brothers are being treated worse than prisoners of war.

Saad Rafique said that there aren't any medical treatment facility at the jail he has been kept in.I don't want to go to a hospital, he said.NAB prosecutor said that the anti-graft body needs more time to prepare its report and asked for an extension in the remand of the PML-N leaders.Rafique is accused of holding major shares in Paragon City, however, he denies this and says he only owns a few houses and land in the society.According to NAB, Saad Rafique colluded with his wife, brother, Qaiser Amin Butt and Nadeem Zia to form Paragon Housing Society. The Lahore Development Authority remarked that the housing project was unapproved.The former Federal minister is accused of misusing his authority and causing billions of rupees loss to the country.
