ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 03rd Mar, 2019) The Department of Economic Development - Abu Dhabi, ADDED, highlighted its keenness to reinforce the culture of innovation in Abu Dhabi and the entire UAE, by promoting the role of its 'Takamul' programme in encouraging talent and inventors, and raising awareness about the importance of reinforcing the country’s innovation environment.

It made this statement to highlight its Takamul programme, which was one of the key national programmes it launched during UAE Innovation Month, in partnership with Federal and local authorities, private sector companies and community groups.

The programme was part of many events of UAE Innovation Month in February, which aimed to support innovative ideas in many economic sectors, including in health, medicine, information and communication technologies, clean technologies, transport, oil and gas, energy and infrastructure.

Faisal Al Hammoudi, ADDED's Director of Innovation and Incubators Administration, said that the participation of the programme in UAE Innovation Month was part of its role in reinforcing the culture of innovation and helping inventors in the UAE, through supporting intellectual property rights and educating inventors, companies and academic institutions about their rights, as well as providing them with technical support to protect and register their innovative ideas.
