ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 03rd Mar, 2019) Manchester City Football Club and Manchester City’s parent company City Football Group has signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi sports Council to collaborate with them across a range of programmes.
The deal will see young footballers from the Emirate travelling to Manchester City’s renowned Etihad Campus in Manchester for coaching and mentoring.
In addition, coaches and officials from Abu Dhabi Sports Council will also head to the facility throughout the season to discuss best practice in areas such as fitness, nutrition and sport science.
Speaking on the occasion, Aref Al Awani, General-Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said, "I am delighted to be signing an agreement to formalise and deepen the partnership between our two organisations. This agreement is a significant milestone between City Football Group and Abu Dhabi Sports Council to promote and further develop the football skills of footballers and coaches from Abu Dhabi.
"In this context, the Memorandum of Understanding we have signed, along with its accompanying action plan, brings our work in line with the goals and targets that include coach and player development programmes. The signing of this MoU marks the consolidation of a true partnership over three years until December 2021.
"I would like to express again my sincere thanks to City Football Group in making this agreement a reality with goodwill, clear ambitions and a strong commitment to work together."
City Football Group is the majority owner and operator of Manchester City, New York City FC and Melbourne City FC.
