ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 02nd Mar, 2019) The Emirates Speech Language Pathology Society of the Emirates Medical Association,EMA, hosted a conference titled "Early Intervention in Speech and Language Pathology Practice" at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from 1st to 2nd March, 2019.
The conference focused on the early intervention practice in speech-language pathology with special reference to this practice in the context of the Arab World.
Two workshops examine clinical practices in children with Downs Syndrome and those with autism spectrum disorder,ASD, and a variety of talks that addressed different disorders of communication and swallowing, such as cleft lip and palate, language impairment, feeding, and stuttering.
Nonword repetition as a predictor of language impairment in Gulf Arabic speaking children was also discussed..
