MINSK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 01st March, 2019) Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko said Friday he will put forward his candidacy in the next presidential election so that he will not be reproached that he fled from his responsibilities at a difficult moment."Judging be the state of affairs in the country, my personal condition, and the attitudes toward me, I believe, I cannot fail to put forward my candidacy for the presidency," Lukashenko said at a meeting with public figures and media representatives in Minsk.
"I am telling you this now, prior to elections, so that you don't accuse me later of cowardice and blame me for running away from my responsibilities in hour of need," he stressed.
