MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th February, 2019) Russian energy giant Gazprom, which is one of the companies behind the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline project, does not expect any sanctions to be imposed on its gas deliveries to the European Union, Elena Burmistrova, the director general of Gazprom Export, said.
"Our expectations are that the sanctions toward our company and the deliveries of gas to the European market are unlikely to happen. But in our everyday work, [the information about sanctions] will bring a lot of trouble. But this mainly concerns emotions," Burmistrova said during an investment event in Singapore.
