Russian-North Korean Intergovernmental Commission to Meet as Scheduled - Ministry

The Russian-North Korean intergovernmental commission on economic and scientific cooperation will be held in Moscow on March 6 as scheduled, a spokesperson for the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic told Sputnik on Wednesday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th February, 2019) The Russian-North Korean intergovernmental commission on economic and scientific cooperation will be held in Moscow on March 6 as scheduled, a spokesperson for the Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic told Sputnik on Wednesday.

"The [session of] intergovernmental commission will be held in Moscow on March 6, as it was earlier announced," the spokesperson said.

In late January, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East released a statement saying that the construction of a bridge over the Tumen River, which runs along part of the Russian-North Korean border, will be the key issue during the commission's meeting.

The previous session of the bilateral intergovernmental commission was held in Pyongyang in 2018.
