UAE Ambassador attends farewell ceremony for Singaporean delegation participating in Special Olympics

Mohammed Omar Balfaqeeh, UAE Ambassador to Singapore, participated in the farewell ceremony for the Singaporean sporting delegation that will participate in the Special Olympics World Games, Abu Dhabi 2019, with the attendance of Halimah Yacob, President of Singapore

SINGAPORE, (Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2019) Mohammed Omar Balfaqeeh, UAE Ambassador to Singapore, participated in the farewell ceremony for the Singaporean sporting delegation that will participate in the Special Olympics World Games, Abu Dhabi 2019, with the attendance of Halimah Yacob, President of Singapore.

The ceremony was attended by Grace Fu, Minister of Culture, Community and Youth of Singapore, as well as several members of the Singaporean parliament, sporting figures, businessmen, and a media crew representing various local media.

In his speech during the ceremony, Balfaqeeh wished the delegation’s 30 Singaporean athletes and 13 officials all success while delivering the welcome of the UAE’s government and people.

He also highlighted the importance of the Special Olympics, which will be held for the first time in the middle East and North Africa.
