Ajman CP praises accomplishments of Paralympic athelete, Aysha Al Nuaimi

AJMAN, (Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2019) H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, praised the accomplishments of the Emirate Paralympian from Ajman, Aysha Adel Al Nuaimi, who achieved many accomplishments in local, regional, Arab and international speed skating and equestrian championships and competitions.

Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid said that Emirati women have proven that they are capable of achieving international sporting success, and the accomplishments of Al Nuaimi are historic while affirming that women’s sport in the UAE is on the right path.

His Highness made this statement while today receiving Al Nuaimi, her mother, her training team, in his office at the Ruler’s Diwan, with the attendance of Salem Saif Al Matroushi, Deputy Director of the Diwan, Abdullah Amin Al Shurafa, Advisor at the Diwan, Yousef Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director-General of Protocols and Hospitality, and several senior officials.

During the meeting, Sheikh Ammar said that the success of Emirati women in international sporting events highlights the support of the wise leadership while affirming that H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, is a role model for Emirati and Arab women, because of her constant encouragement and support.

He was also briefed by Al Nuaimi and her mother about her speed skating career and her future plans. Al Nuaimi is the first Emirati women to participate in skating competitions, and she gifted the country a historic silver medal in speed skating during the Special Olympics 2017 in Austria.

Sheikh Ammar noted that Al Nuaimi’s accomplishments motivate her to double her efforts to achieve future success while praising the role of her mother, family and trainers, who supported her sporting journey and encouraged her to practice her hobbies. He also wished Al Nuaimi further success in her participation in the Special Olympics World Games, which will be hosted by the capital, Abu Dhabi, in March.
