Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 25th February, 2019) Following the Islamabad High Court (IHC) verdict rejecting Nawaz Sharif’s bail plea, he had a meeting with his brother Shehbaz Sharif and daughter Maryam Nawaz at Jinnah Hospital.
In the long meeting after the court verdict, they discussed about the future plan of action and Nawaz Sharif’s return to jail.
During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif has expressed his wish to go back to jail.
However, the decision to shift him back to jail will be taken after his examination by the medical board.
The medical board and Home Department also held consultations upon Nawaz Sharif’s return to jail.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) had on Monday rejected the petition of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif seeking bail on medical grounds.
The medical board has also called a meeting to consider discharging him from the hospital.
The medical board will send its recommendations regarding the former premiere to the Home Department.
Nawaz is currently admitted at Jinnah Hospital Lahore for treatment.
The IHC had on Monday rejected the petition of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif seeking bail on medical grounds.
The former PM had filed the petition, seeking bail from the court on medical grounds on Jan 25.
Nawaz's counsel, Khawaja Harris, requested to grant a bail to the PML-N supremo on humanitarian grounds and for necessary medical check-ups.
An accountability court judge Muhammad Arshad Malik had sentenced Sharif to seven years in prison on Dec 24 in the Al Azizia case.
