The source in the Russian space industry said in January that the new schedule of space launches envisioned the liftoff of the Soyuz MS-15 spacecraft with the UAE astronaut on September 25, with the duration of the Arab astronaut's mission reduced to eight days rather than 10 days previously planned.

"The first UAE astronaut will go to the International Space Station on September 25�of this year," the official said at a press conference aired on the local tv.
