MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st February, 2019) Tanzania thinks there is a lot to gain from participating in the Army-2019 military-technical forum in Russia and may attend the event, Tanzanian Ambassador to Russia Simon Marco Mumwi told Sputnik on Thursday."We have been invited and we are waiting for a response from [the country's government in] Dar-es-Salaam. It is them who will make a decision but it is something interesting because we know from our collaboration, there is a lot ... to gain if we participate," Mumwi said.
The military exposition near Moscow will bring together 1,200 exhibitors from 14 countries on June 25-30. It will feature outdoor demonstrations with live fire and air shows by aerobatic teams.
Tanzania for the first time participated in the Russian military-technical forum in 2015. In 2016, Russia and Tanzania signed an agreement on military cooperation and a contract providing for the training of Tanzanian servicemen in Russian military schools on the sidelines of the event.
