Festival in the Park returns to Abu Dhabi Festival 2019 with family-friendly activities

The Abu Dhabi Festival 2019 will once again host the capital’s premier outdoor cultural celebration, "Festival in the Park" under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Shamsa Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 21st Feb, 2019) The Abu Dhabi Festival 2019 will once again host the capital’s premier outdoor cultural celebration, "Festival in the Park" under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Shamsa Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan.

The two-day event will take place in Umm Al Emarat Park, supported by Dolphin Energy, and will include exciting live performances of theatre and comedy, workshops and musical performances. A celebration for the whole family to enjoy, Festival in the Park will take place on 28th February and 1st March, 2019.

The first day of the event features two shows of the Ministry of Science, one in English and one in Arabic, to cater to the diverse audience. Later in the day, there will be a Book Reading Club with Emirati authors as well as Korean crafts workshops.

Visitors can also explore the Crafts Market all day for locally produced handicrafts available for purchase. In the evening, music lovers can enjoy a fascinating Marching Drums and Drumming Workshop followed by a performance by the Elite Music Institute.

Not to be missed on Day One is the Cinema Club film screening of Amal’s Cloud, directed by Rawia Abdullah, and the first night will be rounded off with an exceptional stand-up comedy performance in Arabic by the hilarious Ali Al Sayed and Friends.

On the second day, visitors can once again browse through a wide array of Korean crafts at the Crafts Market, in partnership with the Korean Cultural Centre.

The evening will be rounded off with Mirror of Creativity, a special, heart-warming UAE Theatre Circle performance by People of Determination. There will be another Cinema Club screening, this time of The Brain That Sings, which is directed by Amal Al Agroobi. Ending the festival in unique style will be a stand-up comedy show by the inimitable Wonho Chung.
