BERLIN (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st February, 2019) Threats of sanctions against the participants of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline project are an encroachment on the sovereign rights of Germany to independently resolve energy supply issues, the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce said in a statement Thursday.
"The threat of imposing sanctions, and all the more possible actual sanctions against companies involved in the implementation of Nord Stream-2, are an encroachment on the right of the Federal Republic of Germany as a sovereign state to independently, in coordination with its partners in the EU, resolve issues of its own energy supply," it said.
