She termed the situation as humiliation for democracy by stating that earlier PPP's chairman and Sindh chief minister's name was placed on the no-fly list and now the speaker has been arrested.

A Speaker is the custodian of the Assembly and is responsible for upholding &protecting the privileges of elected representatives. How can NAB arrest a Speaker esp. when the case is in investigation stage only? This is like inflicting a coup on Sindh.Meanwhile, Sindh Information Minister Murtaza Wahab asserted that the arrest of SA speaker seemed inconceivable as how could an arrest be made without any substantial evidence or proofs. Investigations are also being done against Prime Minister, Speaker of the National Assembly and other ministers, he said while asking would same attitude be adopted against them as well.Maula Bakhsh Chandio also condemned his arrest and stated what message would this send that the speaker was taken to Karachi from Islamabad in handcuffs?
