WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 20th February, 2019) Raytheon Emirates, a wholly owned subsidiary of Raytheon Company has opened its headquarters in Al Maqam Tower at Abu Dhabi Global Market Square, the company announced in a press release on Tuesday.
"The new facility will help Raytheon Emirates develop human capital, industrial partnerships and new technology in the United Arab Emirates in the areas of missile defense, cybersecurity, effectors, and other enabling technologies," the release said.
Raytheon Emirates, which was launched under the Tawazun Economic Program, announced in June 2018 the signing of a long-term lease with Mubadala Investment Company for its new UAE headquarters to include options for additional space as the business grows, the release added.
"This will help us fast-track industrial partnerships and indigenous technology development, as well as develop Emirati professional talent," Raytheon Emirates board Chairman Raytheon Missile Systems President Taylor Lawrence said in the release.
Tawazun Economic Council, Chief Economic Development Officer Matar Al Romaithi said Raytheon's new regional headquarters would reaffirm Abu Dhabi's position as a preferred investment destination in the region for the largest international companies.
