MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 19th February, 2019) US President Donald Trump and his South Korean counterpart Moon Jae-in discussed Seoul's role in North Korea's denuclearization, in a phone call on Tuesday, Moon's spokesman said.

"From rail links between the North and South to intra-Korean economic cooperation projects - if President Trump asks, our readiness to take on this role is growing. This would lift some burden off the US," Kim Eui-keum said.

Trump is scheduled to meet North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un in Hanoi, Vietnam on February 27-28 for talks on denuclearization. The spokesman said Moon hoped that the meeting would be a turning point in the process that would completely rid the North of its nuclear arsenal.
