MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 18th February, 2019) Russia's Sukhoi Civil Aircraft said Monday that recent reports on Ireland's CityJet returning Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) planes, which the carrier was operating under a lease agreement, were false.
Vedomosty newspaper said earlier in the day that CityJet, the only European operator of SSJ100, was giving back 7 leased aircraft.
"Information about CityJet returning SSJ100 aircraft to their owner is not true. Currently, the CityJet airline is reviewing its business model, so Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and CityJet are actively cooperating to resolve the SSJ100 issue in this connection," the manufacturer said.
