ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 14th February, 2019) The Standing Committee on Science and Technology at a meeting here on Wednesday unanimously elected Mr. Sajid Mehdi, MNA as its Chairman.The Special Secretary, National Assembly Secretariat welcomed the members and briefed about the procedure for election of the Chairman. Mr. Noor Alam Khan, MNA proposed the name of Mr. Sajid Mehdi, MNA as Chairman of the Committee while Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Junejo, MNA seconded his candidature.
Accordingly, Mr. Sajid Mehdi, MNA was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Science and Technology.The Special Secretary, National Assembly Secretariat, congratulated the newly elected Chairman on Speaker and assured him full support from the Secretariat for effective and efficient functioning of the Committee.The Chairman expressed his gratitude to the members for posing confidence in him and assured them to run the business of the Committee with consensus.
The members while appreciating views of the Honorable Chairman assured him their fullest support in the process of legislation.The meeting was attended by MNAs Mr. Noor Alam Khan, Ch. Shoukat Ali Bhatti, Mr. Farrukh Habib, Mr. Rahat Aman Ullah Bhatti, Ms. Sobia Kamal Khan, Ms. Samina Matloob, Mr. Khursheed Ahmad Junejo, Mr. Sikandar Ali Rahouphoto and Mr. Naveed Aamir Jeeva besides the senior officers of the National Assembly Secretariat.The Standing Committee on Railways also unanimously elected Mr.

Pir Syed Fazal Ali Shah Jillani, MNA/Member proposed the name of Mr. Muhammad Mueen Wattoo, MNA as Chairman of the Committee while MNAs Mr. Amjad Ali Khan, Ms. Nusrat Wahid, Ch. Muhammad Hamid Hameed, Mr. Ramesh Lal and Mr. Abdul Wasay seconded his candidature. Accordingly, Mr.
