Cooperation 2’ military exercise concludes today

A joint two-week military exercise between the UAE Ground Forces and the Royal Army of Oman, titled, "Cooperation 2," concluded today in the UAE

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 13th Feb, 2019) A joint two-week military exercise between the UAE Ground Forces and the Royal Army of Oman, titled, "Cooperation 2," concluded today in the UAE.

The last day of the exercise was attended by Staff Major General Saleh Mohammed Saleh Majran Al Ameri, Commander of the UAE Ground Forces, and Staff Major General Matar bin Salim bin Rashid Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman.

This exercise aimed to develop the joint work between the two sides, in light of the current challenges facing the region, as well as to strengthen their military cooperation.

Staff Major General Al Ameri said that the exercise is important to the region, as it will develop and strengthen the military cooperation between the UAE Ground Forces and the Royal Army of Oman.

He added that its goal is to exchange military expertise, which will benefit its participants by improving their combat skills and raising their combat readiness.

He also noted that the exercise focussed on unifying the tactics of both armies while commending the combat readiness and proficiency of its participants.

Al Ameri further added that the exercise was organised due to the interest of the wise leadership in the UAE Armed Forces, in terms of their training, equipment and weapons while pointing out that the participation of the UAE Armed Forces in the exercise aimed to raise the readiness of its officers and non-commissioned officers to perform in a real combat environment.

The participants of the exercise will benefit from their mutual expertise in modern military theories and tactics that are gained from training and previous exercises, which have achieved success and were supported by military leaders from both countries, to improve the military capabilities and technical abilities of their individual and group participants.
