ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 13th February, 2019) A distillery was unearthed in capital's area which led to the recovery of a huge quantity of liquor and wine on Wednesday a drug pusher was also held for having narcotics, police said.On a tip off, IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan and SSP Islamabad Waqar Uddin Syed assigned the task to SP Saddar Malik Naeem Iqbal to conduct a crackdown against those involved in bootlegging activities.

SP (Saddar) constituted a team under the supervision of DSP (Shalimar) Haq Nawaz Ranjha, SHO Ramana police station Inspector Jamshed Khan, ASIs Abdul Sattar Baid, Zameer ul Hassan, Shahid Khan and other officials conducted a raid at liquor factory in sector G-12.Police team recovered 180 liters of brewed alcohol, 850 wine bottles, chemicals used brewing alcohol, alcohol labels of different brands of alcohol, corks and other material used in the manufacturing process.

Police team also nabbed four bootleggers identified as Tanveer Masih, Arsalan Masih, Saim Masih and Munawar Babar Masih. Further raids are being conducted to arrest their other accomplices.Meanwhile, Ramana police team arrested a drug pusher Waqas and recovered 200 gram hashish and one gram cocaine from him.Senior police officials of Islamabad have appreciated this performance and directed for further effective measures against those involved in bootlegging or anti-social activities.
