World Government Summit an effective driving force and a communication bridge, says Al Gergawi

(Pakistan Point News - 10th Feb, 2019) DUBAI, 9th February, 2019 (WAM) Celebrating its 7th cycle this, year, the World Government Summit continues to promote a multi-faceted global dialogue on the future of the mankind and the challenges before that future, said Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future and Chairman of the World Government Summit.

In a meeting with the media covering the summit, Al Gergawi described the summit as an effective driving force and a communication bridge, based on the common desire to make a positive difference in the lives of peoples and communities.

The three-day summit will begin tomorrow in Dubai. It acts as a knowledge exchange hub between government officials, thought leaders, policy makers and private sector leaders, and as an analysis platform for the future trends, issues and opportunities facing humanity. The summit hosts several speakers from 140 participating countries, along with over 4000 attendees.

Al Gergawi accompanied the media on a tour of the summit venue, the Museum of the Future and the Government Innovation Platform, presented by the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation.

Over 6,000 visitors are expected at this year’s summit, which is set to host over 200 sessions and 16 forums that will address seven main themes. The summit will include 600 speakers ranging from heads of states, top thinkers, leaders and delegates and 30 international organisations. Additionally, 20 reports with latest figures, studies and data will be published during the summit to help decision-makers and officials formulate future strategies.
