MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th February, 2019) Russia will not leave Norway's actions to escalate tensions in the Arctic without a response, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday.Zakharova in particular said that in 2019 Norway planned to contribute to the creation of infrastructure for submarines in the North Atlantic - a separate port will be equipped at the city of Tromso for receiving nuclear submarines.
"Contrary to the historical traditions of good-neighborliness, cooperation in the Arctic region, Oslo continues its course to escalate tensions and increase the risks of military activities. Such activity will not be left without a reaction. The Russian Federation will take all necessary measures to ensure its own security, as has been repeatedly said," she said.
