The Abu Dhabi Strategic Affairs Committee of the Executive Council held its first meeting under its chairman, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, attended by H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman, with the aim of following the government’s plans to establish excellence in the government working system in Abu Dhabi, pushing the sustainable development wheel, strengthening its competitiveness, and pioneering its efforts in all sectors

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 06th Feb, 2019) The Abu Dhabi Strategic Affairs Committee of the Executive Council held its first meeting under its chairman, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, attended by H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman, with the aim of following the government’s plans to establish excellence in the government working system in Abu Dhabi, pushing the sustainable development wheel, strengthening its competitiveness, and pioneering its efforts in all sectors.

Sheikh Tahnoun asserted that strengthening the government work requires synergy between government bodies and working according to an integrated system which guarantees the highest levels of efficiency and productivity to achieve the wise leadership’s aspirations.

He stated that comprehensive and strategic planning will lead to results which keep up with the ambitions and capabilities harnessed by the leadership and the support it offers in order to achieve an advanced and excellent level of economic prosperity, which will benefit all people of the community.

Sheikh Tahnoun viewed the plan to develop the culture and tourism sector in the emirate and strengthen its competitiveness at the regional and international levels, as well as the projects implemented by the Department of Culture and Tourism in cooperation with a number of strategic partners from the public and private sectors.

The committee demonstrated the updates of the Abu Dhabi Development Accelerators Programme "Tomorrow 21" with the categories of expenditure in the next three years and the main projects for the next five years in all fields.

It also viewed the strategy of developing high-quality medical services for all healthcare receivers in the emirate to strengthen its stature as a leading destination for medical tourism and a choice for patients from the different countries, because of its strong infrastructure and developed healthcare establishments.

The committee discussed the industrial sector support programme and focused on the importance of answering the needs of the sector which is rapidly growing particularly in light of the availability of the developed infrastructure and the logistical services which support the development of the sector’s contribution in the comprehensive economic development of Abu Dhabi.
