The gunfight erupted after the assailants fired several rounds at an oil tank truck, prompting police officers to engage, the IRNA news agency cited witnesses as saying.
The shooters reportedly got away in a stolen car. The oil tank caught fire and exploded, shattering windows in nearby buildings. The incident is being investigated.
