ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 02nd Feb, 2019) The visit by Pope Francis, head of the Catholic Church, to the UAE, beginning tomorrow, will help achieve humanitarian and cultural goals and highlight the UAE's role as a bridge for cultural interaction, said Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, FNC.
In a statement made today to mark the historic visit, Dr. Al Qubaisi said the Pope's visit will constitute a key milestone in the interfaith dialogue and reflect the UAE's wise approach of tolerance, peaceful co-existence, openness and acceptance of others.
"The visit of His Holiness Pope Francis is a culmination of the noble values, established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and diligently followed by our wise leadership to give the world a unique model for tolerance and openness," she added.
