"No grounds preventing custody have been found during court hearing... The court decided to choose the measure of restraint for Pavel Pavlovich Shapovalov in the form of custody for two months, until March 22, 2019," Judge Rinat Akhmetov said.

On Tuesday, Russian flagship air carrier Aeroflot's plane that was bound from the Siberian city of Surgut to Moscow made an emergency landing at the airport of Khanty-Mansiysk after Shapovalov had attempted to enter the cockpit and demanded to change the route. No weapons or explosives were found on board. A source told Sputnik the man was drunk.
