VLADIVOSTOK (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd January, 2019) Russian Ambassador to North Korea Alexander Matsegora and the counselor in North Korea's Ministry of People's Security, Ri Song Chol, discussed the cooperation between the two countries in the law enforcement area, the Russian Embassy said on Wednesday.
"Expanding contacts in the law enforcement area has become the key topic of talks between Ambassador Matsegora and Counselor in North Korea's Ministry of People's Security Ri Song Chol, that took place on January 22," the embassy said in a statement on Facebook.
The statement comes after Ri's visit to Moscow in late December, where he met with the leadership of Russia's Interior Ministry.
During the visit, Russian law enforcement officers shared experienced with their North Korean counterparts gained during the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, according to the embassy.
