Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 15th January, 2018) Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda trolled tv anchor Gharidah Farooqi for not knowing the abbreviation of PPRA.
In her recent tweet, Gharidah Farooqi shared a clip of the minister while speaking in the National Assembly session yesterday.
Sharing the clip where the minister seems to have a slip of tongue, Gharidah wrote, “What!!?? Min Water Resources & a senior leader PTI does not even know the diff b/w PEMRA & PPRA!!??How come this possible!? Hello, abusive troll brigade of a certain political party & hidden ones! No comments!? 😂 (PS I’ve huge respect for him. This tweet’s for haters only👎🏼)” she wrote.
The tweet however was not taken in a lighter sense by Faisal Vawda who said, “Dear sister, mine could be slip of tongue ONLY but at least I know what PPRA stands for and I didn’t cry in the court. So no more comments! 🤐 @GFarooqi”
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar grilled TV anchor Gharidah Farooqi for criticising dams’ project in her show.
Justice Umar Ata Bandial asked the anchor about the meaning of PPRA. However, Gharidah could not tell the meaning of PPRA which is Public Procurement Regulatory Authority, and made a laughing stock of herself.
