TOKYO (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th January, 2019) North Korean leader Kim Jong Un invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to pay an official visit to the North Korean capital of Pyongyang, local media reported on Thursday.
The invitation was handed over to Xi during Kim's visit to Beijing on January 7-9, the Korean Central news Agency (KCNA) reported.
Xi reportedly accepted the invitation and promised to provide further details about his plans soon.
During Kim's visit to China the leaders agreed to continue developing bilateral relations and jointly contributing to regional prosperity.
