Motorcycles of those violating helmet rule to be confiscated
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 10th January, 2019) The Punjab government has decided to further tighten the noose against motorcyclists not wearing a helmet.
According to details, the provincial interior department has ordered to confiscate the motorcycles of those not wearing a helmet.
The interior department has further ordered to take action against the petrol pumps giving petrol to motorcyclists riding without helmets and seal them.
The decision has been taken to enforce helmet rule in the province.
The Punjab government has declared it mandatory for motorcyclists to wear helmets and has introduced fines to be imposed on those found violating traffic laws.
The City Traffic Police (CTP) under their ongoing grand operation against helmetless bikers have impounded a number of motorcycles during special campaign launched against the rules violators.
Moreover, the Lahore High Court (LHC) had imposed helmet rule for pillion riders from December 1 and had later ordered to send e-challan to people violating the helmet rule.
