Rosatom Subsidiary TVEL Signs Deal on Supplying Fuel for China's CFR-600 Reactor - Company

Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom's subsidiary TVEL has finalized an agreement with the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) on supplying nuclear fuel for the Chinese CFR-600 fast reactor, TVEL said Thursday

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 10th January, 2019) Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom's subsidiary TVEL has finalized an agreement with the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) on supplying nuclear fuel for the Chinese CFR-600 fast reactor, TVEL said Thursday.

"TVEL JSC and Chinese company CNLY (a part of CNNC corporation) have signed the contract for supply of nuclear fuel for CFR-600 fast-neutron reactor which is currently under construction. The contract covers the initial loading of nuclear fuel, as well as supplies for refueling during the first seven years of the reactor operation," the company said in a statement.
