Russia's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment said Wednesday the increase in oil reserves in the country in 2018 is expected at 550-580 million metric tons, while natural gas reserves may have grown by up to 800 billion cubic meters

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 09th January, 2019) Russia's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment said Wednesday the increase in oil reserves in the country in 2018 is expected at 550-580 million metric tons, while natural gas reserves may have grown by up to 800 billion cubic meters.

"We are expecting the increase in recoverable reserves of industrial categories [A+B1 and C1] in 2018 for liquid hydrocarbons (oil and oil condensate) to be around 550-580 million tonnes, while for gas - 700-800 billion cubic meters," a ministry spokesman told Sputnik.

"It will be possible to talk about specific figures for the increase in hydrocarbon reserves after the receipt and processing of concrete statistical data," the official added.
