SHARJAH, (Pakistan Point News - 09th Jan, 2019) Saeed bin Saqer bin Sultan, Deputy Chief of Sharjah Ruler's Office in Khor Fakkan, yesterday launched the Seventh Entrepreneurship Exhibition in Expo Khor Fakkan with the participation of 65 exhibitors.
Commenting on the exhibition which is taking place until 12the January, Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, SEDD, said, "This Exhibition is considered one of the commercial support for the citizen sector in various commercial activities. Also, it is part of SEDD’s strategic objectives to encourage local investment and support the national commercial spread in the eastern regions and cities in Sharjah, and enriching the commercial and investment awareness to the sector of small and medium enterprises."
This sector, he said, plays a vital role in stabilising the economic performance of the emirate, and works to achieve the strategic objectives of the department. Al Suwaidi added that the exhibition aims to encourage local investment and support national commercial spread in the eastern regions and cities in Sharjah.
He also stressed that the main objective is to achieve the comprehensive development plan initiated by the department in implementation of the vision of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and his directives to help citizens to join the markets, practice economic work and support their work.
The department also participates in the Consumer Protection Booth in order to protect and educate consumers about their rights and duties.
In turn, Amal Jassim Habash, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs Department at SEDD, said that these exhibitions, which are held periodically, will contribute to boosting the economy in the emirate, stimulating business transactions and encouraging young entrepreneurs to compete both locally and internationally.
"Such thing confirms the success of the efforts of the Department in accordance with its strategic plan to plan and lead the overall economic development in Sharjah," she concluded.
