CJP chides Dr Yasmin Rashid over health department’s poor performance

A hearing on kidney and liver transplantation case was held in the Supreme Court Lahore Registry on Sunday.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 6th January, 2018) Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has expressed his anger over Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid.

A hearing on kidney and liver transplantation case was held in the Supreme Court Lahore Registry on Sunday.

The CJP had summoned Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid to the hearing.

During the hearing, the CJP remarked Dr Yasmin Rashid’s performance is such that a commission could not be formed till yet.

He said we are making Punjab government’s incapability a part of the written order in this case.

The CJP then asked what happened of the law of PKLI.

“We should end this case as the Punjab government does not have this capability,” he said.

Dr Yasmin then said, “Don’t worry chief justice sahib, we are working on this.”

To this, the CJP said, “You have to worry about this but you are not doing anything.”

He then asked about the liver transplantation.

Angry at the poor performance, the CJP said the Punjab government has failed to provide health facilities to the people.

“Your performance is limited to talks only. The incapability and poor working performance has reached its height in Punjab,” the CJP added.
