MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th January, 2019) Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelya said Friday that Kiev will soon stop all rail traffic to and from Russia, after his ministry proposed the move to the cabinet.
"The cabinet has not yet finalized this issue... But falling numbers of Ukrainians travelling to Russia by rail show that the traffic will eventually stop - either by government order or on its own," he told ZIK television channel.
The lower house of the Russian parliament, the State Duma, said earlier that Russia was technically prepared for the stop in cross-border rail traffic.
