Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, the leader of the centrist National Liberal Party, on Friday urged the ruling Social Democratic Party (PSD) to explain reasons for failing to come up with a budget draft for 2019.
CHISINAU (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 04th January, 2019) Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, the leader of the centrist National Liberal Party, on Friday urged the ruling Social Democratic Party (PSD) to explain reasons for failing to come up with a budget draft for 2019."This is a serious problem ... at the moment, there is not even a draft budget. The PSD had all the conditions to present the bill before November 15, perhaps there were problems with the project, the Social Democrats should immediately explain this," Iohannis said at a briefing.
On Thursday, Leader of Romania's opposition National Liberal Party Ludovic Orban urged the government to put to parliamentary vote this year's draft budget, saying the delay had been disruptive for business.
