Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow appointed on Wednesday his son Serdar Berdimuhamedow as deputy head of the Ahal Region, local media reported.
ASHGABAT (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 02nd January, 2019) Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow appointed on Wednesday his son Serdar Berdimuhamedow as deputy head of the Ahal Region, local media reported.Serdar was removed from the deputy foreign minister's position in order to move to the new position.
The president's son was appointed as deputy foreign minister in March 2018. He was also re-elected as member of the country's parliament.
The Ahal Region is one of five regions of Turkmenistan. It is in the southern part of the country with Turkmenistan's capital of Ashgabat located in this region.
