MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st December, 2018) The chairman of the Russian parliament's lower house, Vyacheslav Volodin, will attend the inauguration this Tuesday of Brazil's leader Jair Bolsonaro on behalf of Russia.
"On January 1, 2019 the chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, will represent Russia at the ceremony of inauguration of Jair Bolsonaro as president of Brazil," the Duma press office said.
During the visit, Volodin will meet with his Brazilian counterpart, Chamber of Deputees President Rodrigo Maia, according to the Russian parliament's statement.
Bolsonaro, a right-wing former paratrooper, won the presidential race in October, defeating his main rival, Fernando Haddad of the Workers' Party, in a runoff.
