MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 31st December, 2018) Brazil's President-elect Jair Bolsonaro has called moving the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem a matter of time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.
"It's a question of when, not if," Netanyahu was quoted as saying by the Times of Israel newspaper at a meeting with Jewish leaders on Sunday.
The two right-wing leaders met in Rio de Janeiro on Friday. Bolsonaro, who will be sworn in as president on Tuesday, reportedly accepted the invitation to come to Israel next year.
Israel and the Palestinians bother lay claims to Jerusalem as a capital of their nation states. US President Donald Trump relocated the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in May, in a move that triggered an international outcry and prompted Guatemala to follow suit.
