MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 27th December, 2018) Russia invited Iran to participate in the 2019 International Army Games, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday in a statement.
"The Russian party has thanked the Iranian party for the active participation in the 2018 International Army Games and the Glubina competition of divers as well as invited the Iranians to take part in the jubilee 2019 games," the statement said.
The ministry also said that between Monday and Wednesday Iran hosted the second session of the Russian-Iranian working group on defense industry cooperation.
"During the talks the parties discussed the whole range of issues of the bilateral Russian-Iranian military cooperation, including the cooperation between services and branches of the armed forces. [The parties] paid a special attention to the naval military cooperation," the statement added.
The parties have also exchanged opinions about the regional and international security issues as well as prospects for the bilateral military cooperation.
