MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 25th December, 2018) About 50 people died when a bus crashed with a truck in the west of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, local media reported Tuesday.
According to Okapi radio, the accident happened near the Mbuela Lodge in the town of Kisantu.
The cause of the crash reportedly was the bus' driver exceeding the speed limit.
Local authorities said the number of casualties may rise, as the crash left multiple injured in critical condition, the media added.
