Russia's Young Army Cadets Send Over 600 New Year's Gift Baskets to Syrian Children

The members of Russia's Young Army Cadets National Movement (Yunarmiya) have sent more than 600 baskets with the New Year's gifts to the Syrian children, Anton Kuznetsov, the director of the movement's department for military-patriotic education, said on Monday.

LATAKIA (Syria) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 24th December, 2018) The members of Russia's Young Army Cadets National Movement (Yunarmiya) have sent more than 600 baskets with the New Year's gifts to the Syrian children, Anton Kuznetsov, the director of the movement's department for military-patriotic education, said on Monday.

"It is not the first time when the Young Army Cadets National Movement is participating in the wonderful campaign 'Children of Russia to children of Syria'," Kuznetsov said, expressing gratitude to the Russian Defense Ministry and the Center for Syrian Reconciliation for helping the cadets with sending gifts from Moscow to the city of Suqaylabiyah in Syria's Hama Governorate.

Kuznetsov added that the charity campaign to support the Syrian children was launched a year ago, with the participants of the movement collecting more than 10,000 gifts.

The Young Army Cadets National Movement was established in 2016 at the initiative of the Russian Defense Ministry and supported by President Vladimir Putin.
