GENEVA, (Pakistan Point News - 20th Dec, 2018) Supported by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), the UAE Mission in Switzerland presented "Giving Boxes" to a local humanitarian centre in Geneva, to be distributed to needy children.
While receiving Aalya Al Shehhi, Deputy Head of the UAE Mission, Celine Bernal, Deputy Director of the Humanitarian Centre, welcomed the Family Development Foundation's humanitarian initiative, which coincides with the Christmas holidays.
Al Shehhi highlighted the UAE’s keenness to achieve tolerance and coexistence between all countries and religions, following the legacy of the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, while pointing out that the country’s humanitarian values are based on Islamic teachings, which renounce discrimination and promote giving and humanitarian work.
Al Shehhi also expressed the desire of the mission to cooperate with the centre, especially as the UAE’s wise leadership aims to cooperate with all countries.
