DUBAI, (Pakistan Point News - 18th Dec, 2018) Al Jalila Children’s, the first and only children’s hospital in the UAE, has launched its Diabetes Clinic on World Diabetes Day.
The hospital organised an educational event for children featuring well-known food and health enthusiast Yasmin Al Mulla, who conducted live cooking demonstrations of healthy treats for children with diabetes.
The Diabetes Clinic at Al Jalila Children’s is a multi-disciplinary and one-of-a-kind service featuring a highly-experienced team of two consultants, a diabetes educator, a dietitian, and a psychologist.
The clinic offers comprehensive care to infants, children and adolescents with all types of diabetes, including Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, cystic fibrosis-related diabetes, steroid-induced diabetes, post pancreatectomy diabetes, and rare genetic forms of diabetes.
