The CJP met the chairperson of a Turkish company, Nur Gokmen, during his visit to Istanbul
Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 17th December, 2018) Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar, on special invitation extended by President, Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey is visiting the Constitutional Court of Turkey on official trip.
The CJP met the chairperson of a Turkish company, Nur Gokmen, during his visit.
According to a statement issued by the Supreme Court, the Turkish company has donated Rs 1.38 million in the dams fund.
During his visit, the CJP will also attend annual spiritual night Shab-e-Arus organized in Konya, Turkey to commemorate Maulana Roomi, on invitation of Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan.
Moreover, after attending annual spiritual night, the Chief Justice will proceed to Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah.
CJP Mian Saqib Nisar had earlier visited the United Kingdom where he led a fundraising campaign for the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams.
Speaking at a fundraising event in the UK, he had expressed that the construction of these dams was unquestionable as no obstacles will be allowed to impede with the process.
Media reports said that the CJP is expected to visit America and Canada after his retirement to collect funds for construction Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dams.
