Over 750 Syrians Returned to Homeland From Abroad Over Past 24 Hours - Refugee Center

Syrian refugees have returned to their home country from Jordan and Lebanon over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for the Reception, Allocation and Accommodation of Refugees said on Friday.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th December, 2018) More than 750 Syrian refugees have returned to their home country from Jordan and Lebanon over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry's Center for the Reception, Allocation and Accommodation of Refugees said on Friday.

"Over the past 24 hours, 756 refugees have returned to the Syrian Arab Republic from the territory of foreign states: 144 people (43 women and 74 children) left Lebanon [for Syria] via the Jaydet-Yabus and Talkalakh checkpoints; 612 people (184 women and 312 children) returned from Jordan via the Nassib checkpoint," the center said in its daily bulletin.

According to the bulletin, 200 internally displaced Syrians have returned to their homes over the past 24 hours as well.

Russia has also carried out a humanitarian operation in Kafer Raa, Hama Province, during which local residents received 500 food sets. The Russian military also delivered some 300 Pounds of traditional Russian cookies to a school in Utaya, Damascus Province.

Syrian engineering units, meanwhile, have destroyed 31 explosive devices, including one improvised explosive devices over past 24 hours, the center added.
