A total of three people have been detained within investigation into the deadly high-speed train crash in the Turkish capital of Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday.

ANKARA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 13th December, 2018) A total of three people have been detained within investigation into the deadly high-speed train crash in the Turkish capital of Ankara, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday.

"A total of nine people, including three drivers, were killed in the catastrophe that happened with the high-speed train at the Marsandiz station in Ankara. I express my condolences to the relatives of the deceased persons, and I wish prompt recovery to those injured. Investigation is underway, and three people have been detained within it," Erdogan said in his address delivered in Ankara.

Earlier on Thursday, a high-speed train, that headed from Ankara for Konya, collided with a locomotive. The incident has killed nine people and injured 46 people.
