About 82% of Ukrainian Citizens Do Not Trust President Poroshenko - Poll

A total of 81.2 percent of Ukrainian citizens do not trust their president, Petro Poroshenko, a fresh poll by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) showed.

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 11th December, 2018) A total of 81.2 percent of Ukrainian citizens do not trust their president, Petro Poroshenko, a fresh poll by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) showed.

According to the poll, only 8.8 percent of respondents said they trusted the president.

The poll showed that only 5.9 percent trusted the Ukrainian parliament, whereas 90.3 percent found the national legislature untrustworthy.

The cabinet is trusted by 9.5 percent of respondents, courts by 6.8 percent and political parties by 8.8 percent.

The most trustworthy social institutions in Ukraine are volunteer organizations (65.5 percent), the church (56.9 percent) and the armed forces (53.1 percent).

The poll was conducted on November 23-December 3. A total of 2,000 respondents from 110 settlements across Ukraine except territories controlled by the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Luhansk were surveyed.
