PTI decreases Punjab developmental budget, increases KP’s by 11%

About 54 percent less amount was spent on the developmental projects in Punjab this fiscal year as compared to last year.

Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 8th December, 2018) The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has cut the developmental budget of Punjab by half.

About 54 percent less amount was spent on the developmental projects in Punjab this fiscal year as compared to last year.

On the other hand, the developmental expenditures of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) were increased by 11 percent.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the developmental budget in the first quarter was Rs 30.347 billion. In the previous year, the developmental budget in the first quarter was Rs 65.732 billion.

Moreover, the developmental budget of Sindh has also been reduced. In the first three months of the fiscal year, Sindh spent Rs 13.12 billion on developmental projects. This was 32 percent less as compared to last year.

Contrary to this, the developmental budget of KP was increased by 11 percent.
